IKEA SVÄRTAN collection | Ikea Catalogue 2016

Yes! I love the new products and designs by IKEA for the upcoming year!

At a wonderful and delicious press-lunch by Chef Robbert Kranenborg at ” Paviljoen Puur | Fort Diemerdam” Ikea showcased a lot of the novelties that will appear in the newest IKEA catalogue 2016. One of the themes is  “Attention makes everything more beautiful”. Also the idea of democratic design, which is not new at IKEA by the way, will be presented more upfront. Form – Function – Quality – Sustainable- Affordable. That are the keywords for the new collections. I can only be enthusiastic about that.

Design wise I totally fell in love with the black and white graphic textile collection SVÄRTAN. It’s so beautiful and totally me. It reminds me of my first years at Fashion Art School, when I started to discover all the different disciplines of art and took classes at all the departments the school provided. Graphic Art and Product Design were my two favorites besides Fashion, at that time.  And I loved the life workshop with Martin at the pressevent: art being created at the spot. See this FB Link

The limited SITTNING dinnerwear collection was presented in moody colors with a high level of ” Golden Age” still life styling in it. Lot’s of dark colored glass, plates, textile, cutlery, chopping boards and so on. I just love it! I immediately wanted to invite my friends over for a long evening of wining and dining, let alone to rejoice the Christmas dinner!

And of course, the SINNERLIG collection by Ilse Crawford. Beautiful designs with cork and glass and metal, of which I wrote before here on my blog. I wish a had a big enough house for the whole collection. But I definitely will recommend the items to my Interior deign clients, That’s for sure!

Yes!

Ik ben nu al fan van de nieuwe producten en ontwerpen van IKEA voor het komende jaar! Tijdens een fijne en heerlijke perslunch, gemaakt door chef-kok Robbert Kranenborg bij “Paviljoen Puur | Fort Diemerdam”, liet IKEA veel van de nieuwigheden die in de nieuwste IKEA catalogus 2016 gaan verschijnen zien. Een van de thema’s is “Aandacht maakt alles mooier”. Ook het idee van “democratische ontwerp”, dat niet nieuw is bij IKEA,  zal meer upfront worden gepresenteerd. Vorm – Functie – Kwaliteit – Duurzaamheid- Betaalbaar. Dat zijn de sleutelwoorden voor de nieuwe collecties. Ik ben daar alleen maar heel enthousiast over.

Ontwerptechnisch werd ik helemaal verliefd op de zwart witte grafische textielcollectie Svartån. Het is prachtig en stoer en pas helemaal bij mij. Het doet me denken aan mijn eerste jaar bij Fashion Art School, toen ik net begon en alle verschillende disciplines van de kunst wilde ontdekken en lessen volgde aan alle afdelingen die de academie had. Grafische kunst en Product Ontwerp waren mijn twee favorieten naast Mode, in die tijd. En wat leuk om de life workshop met Martin die tijdens de persdag  word gegeven te zien: kunst, terplekke gemaakt. Zie het filmpje via deze FB link.

De limited SITTNING dinnerwear collectie werd gepresenteerd in donkere kleuren met een flinke scheut “Golden Age” stilleven styling er in. Veel donker gekleurd glas, servies, textiel, bestek, snijplanken en ga zo maar door. Fantastisch! Ik wil meteen mijn vrienden uit nodigen voor een lange avond heerlijk samen eten en drinken, laat staan hoe ik mij nu al op het kerstdiner kan gaan verheugen!l

En natuurlijk, de SINNERLIG collectie van Ilse Crawford. Prachtige ontwerpen met kurk, glas en metaal, waarover  ik al eerder hier op mijn blog schreef . Ik wens dat ik een groot genoeg huis had voor deze hele collectie. Maar ik ga het zeker aanbevelen bij mijn interieur design klanten!
