Interieur trends 2013 2014
Ik had dit jaar helaas maar heel kort de tijd om de woonbeurs te bezoeken. De meeste tijd heb ik doorgebracht met de Meet the Bloggers groep op de VTWonen stand. Een enorme “Barn” waar VT het boerenleven op een nieuwe manier laat zien. Meer een stads boerenleven.

Interior design trends 2013 – 2014
This year I unfortunately didn’t have much time to visit the Woonbeurs. Most of the time I spent with the Meet the Bloggers group at the VTWonen stand. An enormous “Barn” where VT Wonen displayed farm life in a new way. More of a city farm life.

Trends:
Blijkbaar zoeken we naar manieren en momenten om tot rust te komen en in het moment te zijn. Werken met je handen, koken, meubels maken, tekenen en handwerk werden life getoond en een heuse “barber” was aanwezig om dat gevoel te onderstrepen.
Trends:
Apparently we seek ways and moments to relax and be ‘in the moment’. Working with your hands, cooking, furniture making, drawing and crafts were displayed and a real life “barber” was present to underline that feeling.

Materiaal kleur en textiel trends
Materialen zijn doorleefd, met karakter, veel vergrijsde tonen, groenen (ook in de vorm van planten en illustraties) en gelen, maar dan de oker kant op. Ook oud roze zag ik veel langs komen. En vooral ook heel veel textuur en hout.
Opvallend vond ik de illustraties en kunstwerken van Modigliani… Heel uitgesproken werk dat deze kleuren allemaal in zich heeft.
Material, colour and textile trends
Materials are weathered, full of character, many greyish tones, greens (also in the form of plants and illustrations) and yellows with an ochre tone. A colour that was also used a lot was muted pink. And especially lots of textures and woods.
I was struck by the illustrations and works by Modigliani… Very strong works with all these colours in them.

Sfeer en styling
Deze sfeer is een stuk drukker dan het minimalisme waar ik meer een voorkeur voor heb, alhoewel er enorm veel elementen in zitten die mij bijzonder aanspreken. De donkere kleuren, het textiel van natuurlijke materialen, de texturen, het hout en heel veel van de styling elementen. Alleen alles bij elkaar is voor mij wat teveel. Ik zou er elementen uit halen en deze solistischer presenteren.
Atmosphere and styling
The atmosphere is a lot busier than the minimalism I prefer, although there are a lot of elements in there that appeal to me. The dark colours, the natural textiles, the textures, the wood and a lot of the styling elements. It is just that all of them combined is a bit much for me. I would extract elements from it and present them in a more solistic way.
