Design Hotel Americano | Carlos Couturier and Moises Micha’s first design hotel in New York City

I Love NY | I Love Hotel Americano!
Ik heb al eerder gepost over Hotel Americano met een mooie video van ze , want dit hotel op manhatten NY heeft mijn hart gestolen. 
Iedere keer als ik online opzoek ga naar desighotels waar ik wel een keertje zou willen logeren blijft dit bijzonder sfeervolle hotel op nummer 1 staan.
 
Ik kan het niet laten om hier wat mooie plaatjes te laten zien….
Zoals ik al tweette: ze staan on my whishlist!

En: Het is echt niet de vraag of ik naar New york ga, maar wanneer!! 
Want er is maar een stad waar ik heimwee naar heb en dat in NY! Ik ben er in 2010 voor het laatst geweest…. Veeeel te lang geleden dus!

Hôtel Americano is designed by New York-based Mexican architect Enrique Norten, principal of Ten Arqitectos, the first recipient of the Mies van der Rohe Award for Latin American Architecture.

Na twee decennia hoogwaardige ontwerpen voor steden en resorts in hun geboorteland Mexico te hebben gebracht, gaan Carlos Couturier en Moises Micha voor de aanpak van een heel andere markt: New York City. Met hun nieuwe Hôtel Americano, gelegen in het midden van Chelsea’s kunstgalerie wijk, vieren zij zowel hun liefde voor hedendaagse kunst en hun passie voor Manhattan.

“We willen een verhaal over Latijns-Amerika en New York vertellen. Een New Yorker is altijd een Americano, omdat ze leven in een stad waar ze zich de hele tijd aan aanpassen. Gevestigd in een voormalig parkeergarage, heeft het Hôtel Americano een koele industriële Manhattan buitenkant, maar een warme Latijnse ziel.

Two decades after bringing a distinctly high design sensibility to cities and resorts in their native Mexico, Carlos Couturier and Moises Micha are tackling an entirely different market: New York City. With their new Hôtel Americano, located in the middle of Chelsea’s art gallery district, the partners are celebrating both their love of contemporary art and their passion for Manhattan.

“We want to tell a story about Latin America and New York. A New Yorker is always an Americano, because they live in a city where they have to adapt all the time. Set in a former parking garage, the Hôtel Americano has a cool industrial Manhattan veneer but a warm Latin soul.
