Vandaag deel ik wat container houses via Pinterest inspiratie met jullie.
Op de een of andere manier hebben deze industriële containers altijd al mijn aandacht gertrokken. Ik ben gefascineerd door de stedelijke uitstraling, en vind het beeld van containers gestapeld op vrachtschepen zeer inspirerend. Ik hou van de kleuren, de teksten, het ruwe stoere materiaal, maar ook van het tijdelijke, verplaatsbare, het bouwen met de losse onderdelen, het modulaire en dat je het steeds kunt aanpassen. Een beetje hetzelfde als wat pallets en ook kamperen voor mij doen! Misschien zie ik er wel vrijheid in…het idee dat je je woning, maar ook plek zelf kunt aanpassen en verplaatsen. Volgens mij zouden containers best wel eens een grote impact kunnen gaan krijgen in het urban nomad tijdperk dat wij in gaan. En als het op deze creatieve manier gaan gebeuren, ben ik helemaal voor!

Today I share some container houses via  Pinterest inspiration  with you.
In one way or another, these industrial containers always get all my attention. I’m fascinated by the urban look, and find the image of cargo containers stacked on eachother very inspiring. I love the colors, the texts, the rough tough material, but also of the temporality , movability, building with loose parts, the modularity and that you can adapt it, just the way you want. A bit like what pallets and also camping do for me! Maybe I see freedom … the idea that you can move your home, but also can customize your own place. I think containers would just might get into the urban nomad era that we go into. Quite a big impact and if it happens…but when in this creative way: I’m all for it!

Afgelopen week heb ik, met veel plezier, een gastblog geschreven 
voor het veel gelezen 30smagazine blog over MoBA13 Shoes.
De Moba | Mode Biennale in Arnhem bestaat sinds 2005 en heeft dit jaar Lidewij Edelkoort als curator.

Louise van 30smagazine heeft een gastblog over Rotterdam met veel tips voor designshops en leuke buurtjes: 5-design-hotspots-in-rotterdam voor mijn blog geschreven. Deze kun je hier lezen.
Dit weekend ben ik naar het North Sea Jazz festival 2013 gegaan en ben als citytrip- en designliefhebber Louise’s tips natuurlijk gaan bekijken. 

In de Zwaanshals kwam ik een schoenenwinkel tegen, waar deze twee blogs samen kwamen! Shoe store: MNDS Designershoes! 

O.a de schoenen van UnitedNude kwam ik ook op de MoBA13 tegen.
Dus mocht je nog naar Rotterdam gaan :

Last week I did a guest blog, with great pleasure,

The Moba | Arnhem Fashion Biennale exists since 2005 
and this year has curator Li Edelkoort on board.

Louise from 30smagazine has written a guest blog for my blog about Rotterdam, with many tips for design shops and nice neighborhoods: 5-design-hotspots-in-rotterdam. This can be read here.


This weekend I went to the North Sea Jazz festival 2013 and as a citytrip and design lover I had to checkout Louise’s Rotterdam tips.

At the ” Zwaanshals” street in Rotterdam I came across a shoe store, where these two blogs came together! Shoe store: MNDS Designershoes!


For example they sell the United Nude shoes I saw at the MoBA13.
So if you go to Rotterdam:
Take the Top 5 Design Hotspots and make sure you stop at MNDS.

De tuintafel is aan vervanging toe en dus ben ik aan het zoeken naar een mooi nieuw buiten exemplaar. Mijn smaak is behoorlijk minimalistisch, dus mijn oog viel al snel op deze top 6 hierboven. Maar de zoektocht is nog niet klaar:  Want ik houd ook van Stoer!
De ultieme Number 1 buiten tafel heb ik nog niet gevonden….
Wordt vervolgd.
Welke tafel vind jij het mooist? Laat het me weten, ik ben benieuwd!

My garden table is to be replaced and so am I looking for a beautiful new outdoor one.
My taste is pretty minimalic, so my eye fell quickly on this top 6 above.
But my quest is not finished, because I also love a more sturdy style!
The ultimate Number 1 outdoor table I haven’t found jet….

Heb je het artikel op Elle.nl en het bijbehorende filmpje over 
nieuwste Haute Couture collectie gelezen?
 Het is het 20 jarig jubileum van deze heren in de mode. 
Een heel bijzondere show en Elle doet daar verslag van. 
In een Zen-meditatie positie zaten Victor en Rolf een tijd lang midden op het podium, waarna ze de modellen een voor een begeleiden in een sculpturale compositie. De Haute Couture  items zijn allemaal in het zwart en stuk voor stuk (patroon-)technische hoogstandjes. Net als ZEN lijkt het simpel maar dat is het zeker niet…

Did you read the article at the Dutch Elle.nl and see the film about 
latest Haute Couture collection?
It is the 20th anniversary of these gentlemen in fashion! A very special show and Elle has made a report of it!

Victor and Rolf sat down in a Zen-meditation position for while, right in the middle of the stage.  Then they accompanied the models, one by one, in a sculptural composition. All the Haute Couture items are totally in black and piece by piece they are (pattern-) technical delights. 
Like ZEN…it seems simple but it certainly is not …
