Berlin Apartment Schönenberg by Fantastic Frank 
You remember Fantastic Frank don’t you? 
He and his stylists and photographers make 
your house or apartment for sale look so incredibly wanted, 
that it will be gone in no time! 
The only thing is… he’s only available in Berlin or Stockholm…
Since I’ll be visiting Berlin in April for The Hive I was strolling the internet for some inspiration about interior design and nice house in Berlin. 
The open,white and light space in combination with the worn, used, patina furniture is stunningly beautiful. So is the concrete wall and black wall with yellow coffee table in the kitchen.  You know what I love the most? The very old worn woorden cabinet that is used in combination with the white sink in the bathroom. More contrast isn’t passible I think….and thats what makes it so beautiful.

Je kunt Fantastic Frank toch nog wel? 
Hij en zijn stylisten en fotografen 
maken jouw te verkopen huis of apartment zo geliefd, 
dat het in no time is verkocht! 
Het enige is….. Hij is alleen beschikbaar in Berlijn of Stockholm…

Aangezien ik in april naar Berlijn ga voor The Hive, 
was ik vast online wat inspiratie aan het opdoen 
over interieur design en mooie huize in Berlijn. 
Toen kwam ik dit prachtige huis tegen op Fantastic Frank. 

De open witte ruime ruimte in combinatie met de doorleefde
 gebruikte en gepatineerde meubels is werkelijk prachtig. 
Weet je wat ik nou het mooist vind? 
Het super oude kastje met de strakke witte wastafel in de badkamer. 
Meer contrast kun je niet hebben toch? En dat maakt het nou zo mooi…

Every now and then I need to get away from it all 
and like to stay a night at a fine design or luxurious hotel. 
This time I stayed at Park Hotel Amsterdam.
It’s located “almost next” to the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam for your cultural needs, which I really can recommend because since the renovation and new opening this museum is a real treat and has outstanding good exhibitions. Also very near to the PC Hoofdstraat, Leidsestraat and 9-Straatjes / De Jordaan, for all you shopping and the Vondelpark for your walk or run in the park…
 For your wining and dining you don’t have to walk very far: Momo with it’s Pan-Asian cuisine and modern interior is the hotels restaurant and bar. Also breakfast is served here. You can enjoy the evening at Momo bar with a good cocktail or glass of wine.
But back to the Park Hotel…
The hotels I love the most are the ones with a good lounge. 
When it feels just like a living room and where you feel free to sit down and relax. 
Park Hotel has this nice space right at the entry of the hotel. The long couch with several seats at two sides of the see-through fireplace is very welcoming. Also the good filled bookcase invites you to grab an art book or novel and plop down and cuddle up in one of the Design Egg-chairs. It’s a nice place to stay with your travel mates but also very comfortable when you are traveling alone. That’s a big plus I think.  
The rooms are contemporary furnished and the biggest plus are Jensen beds with plush pillow-toppers and XXL pillows and sparkling-white duvet covers and sheets,that provides a deep calming sleep. I so needed that! 
After a relaxing and energising sleep we didn’t have to hurry up for checkout and enjoyed the outstanding and fresh made breakfast.

Mijn verblijf bij het Design HotelPark Hotel Amsterdam

Zo nu en dan moet ik even weg van alles om weer bij te tanken 
en wil dan graag een nacht  doorbrengen in een fijn Design of een luxe hotel.
Deze keer was ik in het Park Hotel Amsterdam.


Het ligt practisch naast het Rijksmuseum Amsterdam voor alle culturele behoeften, wat ik overigens serieus kan aanbevelen, want sinds de renovatie en de hernieuwde opening van dit museum, is een echte traktatie en heeft  het hele goede tentoonstellingen. Park Hotel light ook heel dicht bij de PC Hoofdstraat, Leidsestraat en 9-Straatjes / De Jordaan, voor het broodnodige shoppen en vlak bij het Vondelpark voor een heerlijke wandeling of hardlopen in het park …


  Voor je eten en drinken je hoeft niet ver te lopen: Momo met zijn Pan-Aziatische keuken en modern interieur, is het restaurant en tevens de bar van het hotel. Ook het ontbijt wordt hier geserveerd. 
Je kunt er s’avonds heerlijk genieten in de Momo bar met een goede cocktail of een glas wijn.


Maar terug naar het Park Hotel …
De hotels zijn waar ik het meest van houd zijn degenen met een goede lounge.
Waar het voelt als een woonkamer en waar je je vrij voelt om te gaan zitten en te ontspannen.


Park Hotel heeft deze mooie ruimte direct bij de ingang van het hotel. De lange bank met meerdere zitplekken aan de doorkijkhaard voelt zeer gastvrij. Ook de goed gevulde boekenkast nodigt uit om een kunst boek of een roman te pakken en neer te ploffen in een van de Design ” Egg chair ” stoelen. Het is een leuke plek om te verblijven met samen met je reisgenoten, maar ook erg comfortabel als je alleen reist. Dat is een groot pluspunt vind ik.


De kamers zijn modern ingericht en helemaal top zijn Jensen bedden met pluche topmatrasjes, XXL kussens en sprankelend witte dekbedovertrekken en lakens, die een diepe rustgevende slaap bieden. 
Ik had dat zo nodig!


Na een ontspannende en verkwikkende nachtrust hoefden we ons niet te haasten voor het uit checken  en konden we relaxed aan het uitstekende en vers gemaakte ontbijt.

Yes! I’m going to the Hive in Berlin this april :-)
I have such good memories about my last The Hive… 
I couldn’t make it last year… I was in New York then…
But this year I’m happy to join the Hive again!

I loved meeting all the bloggers from all over the world
and join the classes and learn and share.
I followed the very special class by Dietlind Wolf, that I never will forget…
So special!  And this year she’ll be there again to share her insights and tips about styling.
Take a look overhere to see all the speakers of this years event. 
There is so much to do!

Yes! Ik ga naar de Hive in Berlijn aankomend april :-)

Ik heb zulke goede herinneringen aan mijn laatste The Hive …
Helaas kon ik afgelopen jaar niet … Ik was toen in New York …
Maar ik ben blij om er dit jaar weer bij te kunnen zijn!

Het was zo leuk om alle bloggers van over de hele wereld te ontmoeten, de
lessen te volgen, bij te leren en samen te delen.

De de zeer speciale les in Styling van  Dietlind Wolf zal ik nooit meer vergeten …
Zo bijzonder! En dit jaar zal ze er weer zijn om haar inzichten en tips over styling delen.
Er is zoveel te doen!

Dus … Wil je ook naar The Hive 2015?
Wacht dan niet te lang ….voordat je het weet zijn de tickets uitverkocht…..

Als je gaat en het leuk vindt om elkaar daar te ontmoeten, laat het me dan weten.
  Ik zou het leuk vinden om je daar te zien!

I can’t wait until august 2015, when the new Cork collection Sinnerlig Collection
 by Ilse Crawford for IKEA will be launched..
Studio Ilse, Ikea and the Portuguese cork supplier worked closely together 
to create this new,over 30 pieces interior furniture collection 
with a table, stools, a daybed [which I absolutely adore and really really really must have…] 
and lighting and accessories like vessels and tabletop pieces all made from natural materials. 
These pieces can be categorised in 3 groups: dining, working and lounging.

“Cork is sustainable, durable, a thermal insulator and an acoustic softener. It is waterproof and easy to clean. Above all, it feels good to touch. It is a beautiful, warm material that feels natural and precious at the same time. “


“Each group has a piece of furniture at its centre – the trestle table, dining table and the daybed, respectively. Although the collection works neatly in these configurations everything has been developed so as not to be prescriptive for just one function or setting.This is a reflection on the changing way we live today where fluid space and flexible function of the furniture we live with is a vital part of feeling comfortable at home. So the trestle table could be a desk by day and dining table by night, benches could be consoles and stools can be side tables. The key word here is “could” not “should”; it’s up to you to decide how you wish to live with these things and how they fit into your life.”

Ik kan niet wachten tot het augustus 2015 is…
Dan wordt de nieuwe Cork collectie “Sinnerlig Collection”
van Ilse Crawford voor IKEA gelanceerd …..

Studio Ilse, Ikea en de Portugese kurk leverancier hebben nauw samengewerkt
om deze nieuwe, uitmeer dan 30 stuks bestaande interieur/ meubelcollectie te creëren.


De collectie bestaat uit oa een tafel, krukjes, een ligbed
[waar ik helemaal voor ben gevallen en Ă©cht, Ă©cht moet hebben …]
plus verlichting en accessoires zoals schalen/vazen en tafeldecoratie stukken,
allemaal gemaakt van natuurlijke materialen.
Deze stukken kunnen worden onderverdeeld in 3 groepen:
dineren, werken en loungen.





“Kurk is duurzaam, bestendig, isolerend en werkt akoestisch verzachtend.  Het is waterdicht en gemakkelijk schoon te maken. Boven alles voelt het prettig om aan te raken. Het is een mooi, warm materiaal dat natuurlijk en tegelijkertijd dierbaar voelt.”


“Elke groep heeft een meubel dat centraal staat: – de schragen tafel, de eettafel en het ligbed.  Hoewel de collectie in deze context is uitgewerkt, is alles zo ontwikkeld dat het niet voor slechts Ă©Ă©n functie of omgeving toepasbaar is. Dit is een reflectie op de veranderende manier waarop we vandaag de dag leven: in een veranderende ruimte en met flexibele functies van de meubels. Deze meubels zijn een belangrijk onderdeel onderdeel om ons comfortabel en thuis te voelen. Dus de schragen-tafel kan overdag een bureau zijn en ’s avonds een eettafel, de bankjes kunnen consoles zijn en krukken bijzettafels. Het sleutelwoord hier is “kan” niet “moet” ……Het is aan jou om te beslissen hoe je wenst te leven met deze dingen en hoe ze in je leven  passen”






Begrijp je nu waarom ik niet kan wachten?
